Deonte Huff accused of inapprorpriate relationship with minor student

A part-time seasonal assistant coach at Catlin Gabel School was arrested Wednesday on allegations he was involved in an inappropriate relationship with a WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE - Deonte Huff, a part-time coach at Catlin Gabel School, was arrested on accusations he engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a student at the school.

Washington County sheriff's deputies arrested Deonte Huff, 26, at 1 p.m. after school officials contacted the sheriff's office on Tuesday and passed along information regarding the coach and his involvement with the student, said Sgt. David Thompson, sheriff's office spokesman. Huff was immediately terminated from his job at the school, located at 8825 S.W. Barnes Road.

Huff was lodged at the Washington County Jail on allegations of second-degree sex abuse.

To protect the victim's identity, the sheriff's office is not releasing the student's name, gender or age.

Detectives are asking the public to come forward with any knowledge of this case or if they know of additional victims.
