Southridge High School's Skyhawk Theatre presents the musical "Big Fish" in March. Based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the film directed by Tim Burton, the story centers on Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who weaves a colorful tapestry of tales of his fantastical life, complete with witches, giants, mermaids and a true love that comes only once in a lifetime. His son Will, now grown and starting a family of his own, has been estranged from his storytelling father but learns his father's health is failing. Determined to understand the mysterious man, he is compelled to pull the threads of the tapestry, unraveling fact from fiction.

The production is directed by Jim Fewer and live accompaniment provided by the Southridge High School orchestra.

Curtains rise at 7 p.m. March 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17, with a 1 p.m. matinee Saturday, March 17.

Tickets are $12. The box office opens at 5:45 p.m.. or tickets may be purchased online at www.skyhawktheatre.com.
