Mask & Mirror Community Theatre is closing out its 2013-14 season with “Over the River and Through the Woods.” The play, written by Joe DiPietro, tells the story of Italian grandparents residing in New Jersey who live for Sunday dinner with their grandson. “I see some of myself in each of these characters, and I see my family,” says director Sarah Ominski. “I instantly saw my grandparents and the influence they’ve had on my life over the years. I am thrilled to be able to bring these people to life on stage for everyone to enjoy.”

The play opens Friday and runs through May 18, with show times on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Performances are held on The Stage at Calvin Church, 10445 S.W. Canterbury Lane, in Tigard.
