Collectors West Gun and Knife Show set for June 28

The Collectors West Gun and Knife Show will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the main pavilion at the Clackamas County Event Center.

Poker run set for Saturday morning start

The Canby Center will partner with CMA Wheels of Grace and BBQ Chef Bill for a poker run Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m.

All bikes will be out of The Canby Center between 9-10 a.m.

The event is $20 per bike, $15 per passenger (both include poker hand and meal), $10 for an extra poker hand and $7 for an extra meal. The day will include high hand, low hand and door prizes.

The Canby Public Library will host LEGO night with LEGO bricks and Minifigs Thursday, July 3, from 6:30-7:45 p.m.

Friends of the Library slate annual book sale for July 4

The Friends of the Library will hold its annual book sale Friday, July 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Canby Public Library.

Browse through hundreds of gently used books, CDs, DVDs, etc. Proceeds from last year’s sale helped support activities and programs for children and adults, including the Summer Reading Program, Music in the Stacks and Movie Night at the Library.

Historical society is back with annual pancake breakfast

The Canby Historical Society will host the 14th annual Herman Bergman Pancake Breakfast Friday, July 4, from 7-11:30 a.m. at Knight Elementary School. Menu will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice, fruit and coffee.

Canby city officials and dignitaries will serve and help. The event is a major fundraiser for the historical society.

Fireworks package raffle benefits historical society

A $90 fireworks package will be raffled off by the Canby Historical Society.

Donated by Western Fireworks, raffle tickets are $1 and available at Cutsforth’s Thriftway and the Canby Depot Museum.

Drawing will be held July 1.

Annual Bremer’s Corner Cruizin’ 4 Life is one July 12

“Cruizin’ 4 Life” will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 12 at Bremer’s Corner in Hubbard. The 59’ers antique tractor club will host a tractor pull at 1 p.m. at the same locations.

The event will include a hot dog and hamburger barbecue, dash plaques and goodie bags, and a raffle. Donations this year will go to the American Cancer Society, the Autism Society, Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder (CHADD), and Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Holy hazelnut! Donald Hazelnut Festival returns on July 12

The Donald Hazelnut Festival will be held Saturday, July 12, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. along Main Street in Donald.

Dan and JoAnn Keeley of St. Paul will head the grand parade.

There will be a canned food drive, factory tours, live music, vendors, food, children’s play area, dunk tank, barbecue competition and more.

Community theater presents ‘Fiddler on the Roof’

Canby Community Theatre will present “Fiddler on the Roof” July 25, 26, 31 and Aug. 1 and 2. All shows are at 7 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee July 26.

All seats are $12 and tickets will be available at Cutforth’s Thriftway, or at the door.
