Independence Day attractions included a pancake breakfast, book sale, parade and a celebration at the park

 - Prineville Disposal and Septic Pros once again provided local residents a brilliant fireworks display Wednesday night that lit up the night sky. Although spot fires erupted on the hill below Ochoco Viewpoint, they were extinguished quickly and without major incident.

Beyond the parade and the fireworks, Prineville residents were given plenty of fun and patriotic things to do.

The Prineville-Crook County Chamber of Commerce and the Crook County Parks and Recreation District hosted the 2018 Crook County Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration in Ochoco Creek Park, where there were yard games, vendor booths and family activities.
