by: Courtesy of Bill Warner, George Rogers Park in Lake Oswego filled up with vintage vehicles and curious onlookers Sunday during the Oswego Heritage Council Collector Car Show.

George Rogers Park was the place to be Sunday for fans of classic cars.

The annual Oswego Heritage Council Collector Car Show was held for five hours that day in the Lake Oswego park.

I thought it was really a good turnout insofar as the cars and the people were concerned,' said Susan Headlee, one of the organizers.

She said there were 210 cars on display and 'probably 800 people' attended.

The car show is the main fund-raiser for the Oswego Heritage Council, a non-profit corporation whose mission is to 'promote the preservation of the community's legacy.' One of OHC's most-visible contributions to the community is the Oswego Heritage House.

According to Bill Warner, OHC member, Vic's Auto Center of Lake Oswego has been one of the show's significant sponsors ever since the event premiered seven years ago. Mercedes- Benz of Portland and Wilsonville along with the Don Rasmussen Co. are the show's major sponsors.
