The Broadway Rose Theatre Company is thrilled to present "Ripper," a musical thriller, Aug. 3 to 21 at the Deb Fennell Auditorium in Tigard.

In 1880s London, the PennyWise Music Hall is home to an illusionist who saws women in half while real murders are taking place on the streets outside. Reporter Chester Talbot sets out to unravel the story, but what he sees may not be what it seems.

The truly original take on a well-known story still provides suspense, surprises and a refreshing approach.

The cast includes Bruce Blanchard as Willy, Amy Jo Halliday as Mrs. Ratkin, Isaac Lamb as Chester, Audrey Voon as Mary, Josh Stenseth as Eddie, Rebecca Teran as Kate, Olivia Shimkus as Long Liz, and Gary Norman as Sgt. Neill.

Duane Nelsen is the playwright and composer; Abe Reybold is the director; Alan D. Lytle is the music director; Gene Dent did set and lighting design; Shana Targosz did costume design; Deb Dahling did prop design; and Dan Hallberg did sound design.

Preview performance is Aug. 3 with opening night Thursday, Aug. 4. Performances will run through Aug. 21. Evening performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; and matinees are at 2 p.m. Sundays, plus Saturday, Aug. 13 and 20.

The Deb Fennell Auditorium is located at 9000 S.W. Durham Road in Tigard.

Adult tickets cost $28 to $35, with $20 tickets available to those ages 6 to 25. For tickets, visit, or call the box office at 503-620-5262.
