When, where: 5 p.m. PT Saturday, Dee Shaw Stewart Stadium, Ogden, Utah

Radio: KTRO (93.1 FM)

Notes: Last season against Weber State, with Sawyer Smith out with a broken thumb, the Vikings played athletic and mobile quarterback Nic Costa, who rushed for 73 yards and passed for 99. That doesn't mean coach Tim Walsh will use receiver Tremayne Kirkland, although he expects the Wildcats will be planning for it. 'We have to find a way to win this thing,' Walsh says. … Walsh counted 10 missed tackles by linebackers and four by safeties last week at Cal. 'And we didn't blitz (well), which left our corners vulnerable,' Walsh says. The defensive line, he says, played well against Cal. …Weber State is averaging only 10 points and 225 yards per game, although the Wildcats put up 438 in overall offense and 252 on the ground last week against Southern Utah.
