WATER POLO -- Sandy boys win in overtime

Barlow's Jamie Nippert scored six goals to lead the Bruins to an 8-5 water polo win against Centennial on Tuesday night.

She struck twice in the final minute of the first period to put Barlow in front 3-2, and added a clinching goal after making a steal to start the fourth period.

The Bruins took a 6-2 lead into halftime only to see Centennial charge to within a single goal when Jenny Johnson fired a hard shot that squeezed through the hands of the Bruins' goalie and ended up in the cage.

Barlow earned a lopsided 20-7 win in the boys game.

In other Mount Hood action, the Sandy boys beat David Douglas 10-9 in overtime to remain unbeaten in conference. The David Douglas girls also stayed in first place after a 9-6 win.
