The Central Catholic girls soccer team scored in the game's opening minute and never looked back during a 5-1 victory at Centennial on Tuesday night.

Central's Abby Coburn made a run down the left sideline and crossed the ball in front of the goal where teammate Ashley Walsh deflected it past the goalie just 40 seconds into the match.

The Rams put the game away midway through the second half, this time with Walsh feeding Coburn for a goal. Walsh finished the night with three assists.

Stacey Dillingham scored Centennial's only goal on a header in the 16th minute that closed the gap to 2-1.

'We're on a nice roll,' Central coach Geoff Skipper said. 'Our front line is really taking care of business.'

In other girls action, Barlow didn't allow a shot on goal and shut out Sandy 2-0, while Katie Thompson scored to lift David Douglas to a 1-0 win against Reynolds.

In boys action, Gresham earned a 1-1 tie with Hood River with both goals coming in the first half.
