Au revoir to Marsee
- Lake Oswego Review - News
Work is now under way on site preparation and demolition of the old Marsee Bakery and Lake Oswego One Hour Cleaners to make way for the new Pollock Commercial Building at the intersection of Fourth Street and A Avenue in downtown.
New traffic and parking restrictions in the vicinity of the project are expected in coming months.
A portion of Fourth Street will be closed and some parking spaces on A Avenue and Fourth Street will not be available. The sidewalk along A Avenue will be rerouted using the parking strip on the south side of A Avenue. The en-trance to the adjacent alleyway between Fourth and Fifth streets will be closed at A Avenue.
The project could take as long as 18 months to complete. Access to nearby businesses, residences and Lake Oswego City Hall will be maintained at all times.
A new, three-story building with two levels of parking underneath will be constructed on the site. Buena Vista Homes will occupy a portion of the office space and street-level retail shops will occupy the first floor.
