Next: Kelowna at Portland, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Memorial Coliseum. Then three weekend games including Vancouver at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the coliseum.

Tribune player of week: Rookie Chip Petrino, 16, a Vancouver, Wash., resident, scored his first career WHL goal in Saturday's 4-3 loss to Everett. 'Felt good to get the monkey off my back. All last year I was the man, scored a lot of goals,' says Petrino, who played for the Portland Junior Hawk midget teams. Petrino, a Toronto native who moved to Vancouver at age 6, has worked hard on playing defense and positionally.
