The Oregon City farmers market got national recognition on Saturday for its innovative POP Club (Power of Produce) for kids. Aug. 7-14 is National Farmers Market Week, and a crowd of appreciative folks showed up to buy Oregon-grown items and enjoy themselves. Amber Kelly (shown in photo), a POP Club parent from Oregon City, extolled its virtues on Saturday.

The market is a collaboration between Clackamas County Friends of Extension, Clackamas County, city of Oregon City, OSU Extension Service, Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District, community volunteers and sponsors, and the market manager is Jackie Hammond-Williams. For more information, see
