Record: 21-20-4-1 going into Thursday's home game against Spokane.

Schedule: The Winter Hawks travel to Seattle tonight and Kelowna on Saturday, both 7 p.m. starts.

Surging: You think Brandon Dubinsky isn't a prospect? Think again. The 17-year-old Alaskan, coming off his first career hat trick Tuesday at Prince George, has 23 goals and 34 assists, a minus-1 rating and 90 penalty minutes, which rank fourth on the team.

Oh, what a week: It's been a topsy-turvy week for the Winter Hawks. Friday, they got off one shot in the first period and played maybe their worst game of the season, losing to Seattle 4-2 before nearly 10,000 Rose Garden fans. The team's losing streak hit five in a 6-3 loss the next night at Everett. A rookie, Dustin Butler, started in goal and got his first career shutout in Sunday's 4-0 road win at Kamloops. And Dubinsky's hat-trick night offset the six goals Butler gave up on 22 shots in a 7-6 win at Prince George.
