At about 10:45 am on Friday, the 5th of August, two vehicles collided in the intersection of S.E. McLoughlin and S.E. Holgate, and the southbound Honda Accord went airborne after being struck by an auto company's eastbound Ford truck, landing upside down in the southbound lanes of McLoughlin.

Portland Police spokesman Sgt. Peter Simpson tells THE BEE that both drivers claimed to have the green light, and police were unable to determine for sure which driver was lying, so no citations were issued.

There were no serious injuries, although 'the truck driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment'.

Both vehicles were towed.
