Best NBA memory: 'Probably going to the NBA Finals with New York in 1999. I remember beating Indiana at Madison Square Garden in Game 6 to clinch the Eastern Conference title. The place just went nuts. Patrick Ewing was hurt, and I was starting. It was a lot of fun.'
Best game: 'In the '99 playoffs against Atlanta, I had 14 points and 12 rebounds in a game we won. In the regular season one year when I was playing for Chuck Daly with New Jersey, I had 14 points and 20 rebounds in an NBC game against the Knicks.'
Best friend and teammate: 'Jud Buechler. We were teammates in New Jersey, and we grew up together in San Diego. I met a lot of good people here in Portland Ñ Jerome Kersey, Clyde Drexler, Buck Williams, Terry Porter É all great guys.'
Favorite teammate: 'Larry Johnson in New York. Great player, made the players around him better, and very unselfish. He was always the first one in the gym, always saying something positive to his teammates. The ultimate teammate.'
Best teammate: 'Maybe Derrick Coleman in New Jersey, when he first came out. He was pretty dang talented.'
Best coach: 'I had Lenny Wilkens and Bill Fitch, but I liked Chuck Daly's intensity. He was all about winning and knew how to convey that. He was able to get everybody focused on that one issue. We were always ready.'
