eral events have been scheduled in observance of Veteran's Day (traditionally Sunday, Nov. 11).
   A Veteran's Day Parade will be held Saturday, Nov. 10 in Warm Springs, with participants invited to gather at 9:30 a.m., by the Post Office. Following a gun salute and remarks, the parade will proceed to the Warm Springs Community Center where a lunch will be served.
   Also, in Warm Springs, the annual Veteran's Day Powwow actually starts two days before the holiday, on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9 and 10. Grand entry is at 7 p.m., Friday, and two times on Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m.
   In Madras, the Avenue of Flags will be put up at Mt. Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery on Nov. 11.
   The Madras Elks Lodge No. 2017 invites all local area veterans and their spouses to a free dinner at the lodge at 4 p.m., Nov. 11, followed by a short program featuring Major General Leo LeBlanc, USMC (Ret.)
