garet Sturza and Curtis Olson, both of Madras, were united in marriage Nov. 10, at St. Patrick Catholic church in a ceremony conducted by Father Jim Stephens.
The bride is the daughter of Stan and Phyllis Sturza of Redmond and the groom is the son of the late Julius and Leola Olson.
The church was decorated with roses and white mums and white pew bows. The bride wore a long ivory dress with lace top.
The Matron of Honor was Lori Turel, sister of the bride, who wore a purple, tea-length dress and carried a white rose.
The Best Man was Dave Jordan. Special music included "Endurance and Dismissal" played by Betty Jean Cordill and Rudy Vigil. The song after communion was a tape of "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" by Rod Stewart.
A reception was held at The Riverhouse in Bend. While the small, private wedding ceremony was attended by 30 family members, the reception was attended by 190, who enjoyed a dinner buffet, dancing, and a German chocolate wedding cake.
The couple live in Madras. The bride is a 1973 graduate of Redmond High School, 1977 graduate of Western Oregon State College, and obtained her masters degree in 1981 from Portland State University. She is employed as the athletic director at Madras High School.
The groom is a 1971 graduate of Bend High School, and 1975 graduate of Oregon State University. He is the president of Seaswirl Boats in Culver.
