The 34th Annual Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Days celebration drew native dancers from throughout the U.S. and Canada, along with spectators which included Gov. Ted Kulongowski and his wife, and former Gov. Vic Atiyeh. Young veterans of the recent war in Iraq, Tashna Hicks, Hester Scott, Sunshine Yubeta, Winter Sky Smith, rode in Saturday's parade and were honored along with Rose Sanchez and Joseph Mitchell and older vets from other wars. Besides the dancing, stick game, golf, softball, and racing events were held, and a wide variety of vendors sold everything from Indian tacos and beaded jewelry to Guatemalan clothing and powwow dogs.
