tern Oregon football is unbeaten with some help from several area graduates.
Senior Jeff Cloud of Culver is the Wolves' leading tackler as a starting outside linebacker. Redshirt freshman Gavin Romanick of Madras plays on special teams while freshman Jared Roen of Culver is redshirting this season.
WOU is 4-0 with a 38-0 victory against Southern Oregon on Saturday. The Wolves also won their final two games in 2005.
This season's WOU wins include a 28-14 conquest of Linfield on Sept. 9, ending the host Wildcat's regular-season winning streak at 41 games. It was also WOU's first victory against Linfield since 1997.
Cloud was involved in six tackles, two solo, in the Linfield win. Romanick was part of one tackle.
In Saturday's 38-0 shutout at Southern Oregon, Cloud had one solo tackle, forced a fumble and broke up a pass. The WOU defense allowed just 127 total yards with 20 rushing.
So far this season, Cloud has eight solo tackles and 16 assists for a total of 24. Three of Cloud's tackles are for losses. Romanick has played in two games, recording three tackles.
WOU is off this week, returning to action with an Oct. 7 home game against Humboldt State.
