SHERWOOD - The Sherwood High School girls soccer team stayed perfect on the season by scoring a 3-0 victory over Putnam in a Northwest Oregon Conference match played Tuesday at Sherwood High School.

With the victory, the Lady Bowmen improved to 3-0 in NWOC play, keeping them alone in first place in the league standings, while also giving the team an over-all record of 10-0.

Sherwood junior Tear'sa Krieger scored a pair of goals in the victory over Putnam and junior Mikayla Howes added on goal.

Junior Jessica Imbrie had a pair of assists and senior Alex Teesdale had one assist.

Prior to the win over Putnam, Sherwood scored a 3-0 victory over Liberty.

Junior Annie Govig, Teesdale and Imbrie each had one goal in that victory. Howes had two assists and junior Meghan Schoen had one assist.

The Lady Bowmen will be back in action tonight (Thursday) when they travel to St. Helens for a league match starting at 7 p.m. Sherwood will be home Tuesday to face Sandy at 7 p.m.


The Sherwood boys soccer team moved to 1-1-1 in NWOC play after it fell 3-1 to Putnam in a match played Tuesday at Putnam.

The Bowmen will look to bounce back tonight when they host St. Helens at 7 p.m. On Tuesday, Sherwood will travel to Sandy for a 6 p.m. league contest.
