A 25-year-old man who was wounded in a Friday night shooting near North Haight Avenue died early Monday morning.

Portland police said Deandre Clark died just after midnight. He was seriously wounded in the shooting that happened at about 10:10 p.m. in a neighborhood a couple of blocks from Jefferson High School.

Officers from Portland's North Precinct found Clark lying on the street surrounded by several people who gathered after the shooting.

Police searched the area but were unable to find a suspect.

The city's Gang Enforcement Team is investigating the shooting. Police said the incident was not connected to one of the city's high school football games Friday night, which were without incident.
