Lake Oswego High School celebrated homecoming last week focusing on the theme 'Pun 't' the Lions.'

Dress-up days and lunchtime competitions and activities were planned each day and the princesses were announced in an assembly on Tuesday.

Serving as grand marshal for the homecoming parade was Rick 'The Rickster' Knause, LOHS alum and perhaps the most avid Laker fan in town. Students put their all into the parade, which included retro cars, princesses riding atop a fire truck, the marching band, cheer and dance teams, floats and more.

Senior Colleen Condon was announced homecoming queen at a ceremony during halftime of the football game. The young women making up the balance of the homecoming court included freshman Claire Carter and Katie Brauti, sophomores Blaine Danielson and Ruby King, juniors Anna Ketterling and Celeste Spangler and seniors Annie Brauti and Emily Schmit.

The Lakers won their homecoming game with a score of 28-0 against perennial rival West Linn High.

A dance was held on Saturday at the school. The theme was 'Empire State of Mind,' which represents the football team's focus on their 'state of mind' and their goal of winning the OSAA 6-A football championship.
