Lakeridge High School celebrated homecoming last week, following a theme of 'Under the Sea … Gettin' Fishy Wit' It.'

Spirit week consisted of pep assemblies and festive dress-up days leading up to the traditional parade down A Avenue.

Principal Mike Lehmann served as grand marshal of the parade. He was selected by the students for the honor because of the support, motivation and encouragement he gives to the Pacer Nation. The parade included motorcycle police escorts, a fire truck, class floats, the school marching band, dance and cheer teams and the cast of the upcoming fall musical, 'Willy Wonka.'

Senior Kelsey Ramsey was crowned homecoming queen at a halftime ceremony during the football game. Princesses included freshmen Ashley Armsby and Kacie Van Stiphout, sophomores Emily Harrell and Stephanie Blizzard, juniors Lauren King and Sophia Nielsen and senior Laura Breckenridge.

The Pacers lost their homecoming game against Canby, 40-0. The festivities concluded with a dance on Saturday.
