Madras High School JROTC hosted a Civilian Marksmanship Program outreach clinic Aug. 6-9, at Madras High School.
Junior shooters from around Oregon attended this national event. Olympic coaches and NCAA counselors from the CMP were on hand to instruct the students and provide valuable insight on what it takes to be a winner.
Madras coach Larry Renfro deemed the event a huge success. "The counselors were awed by the Central Oregon scenery and all the outdoor activities here. They hope to be back in future years," he said.
Madras' own Aysia Sherer won the precision shootoff with a perfect score of 10.
