GIRLS BASKETBALL - Barlow gets on the move quickly and never trails in a 13-point win over Sandy
by: Kris Anderson Barlow’s Sydney Leliefeld stays in front of Sandy guard Racquel Pellecer during the Bruins nonleague victory on Monday night.

Sandy and Barlow don't offer much size, but they fly around the floor like torpedoes. But when the two teams met on Monday, only the Bruins brought the energy to run their up-tempo game.

This game looked to be decided in the opening minutes. Barlow was running the floor and knocking down their shots. Sandy, on the other hand, was never in sync.

In the second half, Sandy's play picked up a little, but their deficit was too big to overcome, and Barlow rolled to a 51-38 win.

'We just set the tempo and took care of it early,' Barlow's coach Craig Webster said. 'It looked like we had a little more up-tempo than them. I thought we played a great first half - good ball movement, shot the ball well.'
