Oregon City couple to celebrate 70th anniversary

Donald Cameron, Janet Vernon and Mary Jane Sauerwein will throw a 70th wedding anniversary party for their parents, Rob Roy and Dorothy Cameron, at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the Clackamas Banquet and Catering Center.
The Camerons were married Dec. 28, 1941, and moved to Oregon City in 1965.
Rob Roy retired from the Oregon State Highway Department after 40 years. He designed the award winning section of Interstate 205 from the West Linn 10th Street exit to Interstate 5. He also designed and supervised the construction of the Oregon City section of Highway 213 from I-205 past Clackamas Community College.
Dorothy was the secretary for 10 years at North Clackamas Christian School in Oregon City when it was first started. She retired from that job when her husband retired from the Highway Department.
The couple has nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
