ecca Mae Denfeld, 68 of Mitchell, Oregon passed away on May 23, 2012. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Mitchell School Gymnasium on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 2:30 p.m.. Pastor Curtis Holt will be officiating.
Rebecca (Johns) was born on September 10, 1943 in Great Falls, Montana to Jerry and Agnes (Munyer) Johns. She graduated from Washington High School in Portland, Oregon before starting a family. Rebecca then went on to graduate from Eastern Oregon University with an Associate’s Degree in Science. She then moved to Mitchell, Oregon in 1985, Rebecca married Dennis Denfeld on February 1, 1986. Her and her husband then were self employed at the Sky Hook Motel for many years. Rebecca kept herself busy by joining the Mitchell City Council, cooking at the senior hall, running the Motel, and teaching pre-school and Sunday school at the Assembly of God Church. She was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society.
Rebecca enjoyed gardening, quilting, crafting of all kinds, cutting firewood and most of all spending time with her family.
Rebecca is survived by her loving husband Dennis Denfeld, son Paul Meyer; daughters Renee Powell and Marae Urell, daughter Kelly Kela; sons Denny and Tyler Denfeld, daughter Heidi Williams, two brothers and three sisters and 15 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
