mas Lee Brown of Prineville died Thurs., Nov. 8, 2001. He was 59 years old.
He was born June 25. 1942 to William and Katherine (Meredith) Brown in Billings, Mont. He attended school in Great Falls, Mont., and served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service from 1959-79 as a torpedoman. He received the Nat'l Defense Medal, Purple Heart and qualified in submarines.
He married Maxine Lewis in Stevenson, Wash. in 1978.
After leaving the military he worked for the U.S. Marshal's Service, National Parks Service, and as a ranch foreman. After retiring due to a disability, he moved to Prineville in 1995.
He was a member of American Legion Post 29, a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1412, Disabled American Veterans, and past commander of the American Legion in Chino, Arizona.
His interests included fly fishing, building models, gardening, wood working and spending time with family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Disabled American Veterans.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Disposition will be by cremation.
