Vote-by-mail ballots for the November election are due Tuesday. Patrons of the Lake Oswego School District are voting on Measure 3-434, which renews for five years the local option levy for district educational programs.

The district is requesting voters support continuing to levy $1.39 per $1,000 of assessed value. The renewal would continue at the same tax rate as the current levy. The levy brings in about 10 percent of the district’s annual operating resources.

Ballots must be received by the Clackamas County Elections office in Oregon City or at a designated drop-off box by 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Lake Oswego has one drop-off box, located at the Lake Oswego Public Library, 706 Fourth St.

At this late date, county election officals advise dropping ballots off rather than mailing them.
