Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, was celebrated Friday at Chemeketa Community College in Woodburn. The traditional Mexican holiday is observed to honor and celebrate loved ones who have died with floral offerings and photographs, candles, skulls and food. The event featured food, face painting, traditional offerings and other aspects of the Nov. 1 holiday. by: JEFF MCDONALD  - Samuel Becerra, 41, of Eugene, shows his daughter, Jailyn Becerra-Brigido, 9, his Pre-Columbian flutes, which were part of the Aztec and Mayan cultures.
