His films have been synonymous with winter and skiing and snowboarding and the men and women who take the sports to their extreme.

Now Warren Miller's 61st film comes to Portland.

'Wintervention,' narrated by Olympic champ Jonny Moseley, will be shown at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Arlene Schnitzer Concert, 1037 S.W. Broadway Ave., and 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at Bagdad Theater, 3702 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd.

The film also will be shown at Tigard High School, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2; LaSells Stewart Center at Oregon State, 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3; McDonald Theatre in Eugene, 6 and 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4; and, Salem-Elsinore Theater, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6.

Tickets for the Portland shows are on sale at Mountain Shop and at Ticketmaster locations, or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Everyone attending the show will receive a voucher for a free lift ticket to Mount Bachelor and other perks.

'Wintervention' features classic 'snow-diction' from around the world - from the U.S. in Colorado and Utah to Antarctica to Argentina to Norway and to the Caucasus Mountains of the country Georgia. It features high-profile stars such as Chris Davenport. JJ Thomas, Lindsey Vonn and Hugo Harris and innovators like Andy Mahre, Jossi Wells and Zach Black.
