BERKELEY, Calif. - The Oregon Ducks evened their series with No. 20 California on Saturday, beating the Bears 4-3 at Evans Diamond.

The rubber match is noon Sunday.

Oregon (22-10 overall, 5-9 Pac-10) got 7 1/3 innings from Madison Boer (3-3) and a two-run home run from Andrew Mendenhall that gave Boer a 2-0 lead in the second inning.

The Ducks made the score 4-0 in the third, with Shawn Peterson driving in two runs on a double, after a single by Danny Pulfer and a long fly ball by Jack Marder that put him on base via error.

Pulfer has been on base in 27 consecutive games, with hits in 24 of those games.

Kellen Moen got his seventh save of the season for UO.

Cal dropped to 25-14, 10-7.
