The Gresham graduate ranks fourth on the Warner Pacific scoring list

Gresham High School graduate Scott O'Gallagher earned the Ad Rutschman Small College Athlete of the Year at the Oregon sports awards banquet Sunday, Jan. 27.

O'Gallagher, a guard for the Warner Pacific men's basketball team, was named an NAIA All-America during his junior season. He ranked second in the nation in scoring at 24.9 points per game and is fourth on the school's all-time list. The Knights went 28-6 in 2006-07.

Sandy graduate Mark Thorson, a quarterback at Western Oregon, was also nominated in the small-college category. He led the Wolves to a 9-2 record in his senior season and set four school passing records.
