Information from the public safety column comes from the records of the Lake Oswego Police Department. Police recently filed reports on the following incidents:
5/5/11 8:14 a.m. A burglar struck a residence on Reese Road, stealing a computer Dell Tower.
5/3/11 4:35 p.m. The damage suffered by a car parked on Pilkington Road apparently was caused by a garbage truck.
5/4/11 2:59 p.m. A teen in a speeding Volkswagen Rabbit nearly drove his vehicle into a man's car as the man was backing out of his driveway on Fernwood Drive.
5/2/11 9:57 p.m. A Honda Accord was stolen from 7 Centerpointe Drive.
5/3/11 7:46 a.m. A purse with contents valued at $772 and an driver's license were taken from a Lexus on Kruse Way Place.
5/3/11 11:31 a.m. Mail was stolen from a mailbox on Hillside Drive.
5/3/11 2:35 p.m. A woman's Sony cell phone was stolen by a thief.
5/4/11 7:38 a.m. An unlocked car on Summit Drive was robbed of a Nikon camera and a backpack full of running gear.
5/4/11 9:40 a.m. A gym bag with gym clothes, cycling shoes and running shoes were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Summit Drive.
5/4/11 11:14 a.m. An unlocked champagne Jeep was robbed of a purse and an iPod, with a total loss set at $400.
5/4/11 12:11 p.m. A Nikon camera and backpack were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Summit Drive.
5/4/11 12:31 p.m. Shoes were taken right off the front porch of an abode on Kerr Parkway. The thief could now be wearing Puma size 13 boys shoes.
5/5/11 11:52 a.m. A jacket was stolen from a men's room at a location on Holy Names Drive.
5/6/11 2:10 p.m. While shopping at a grocery store a woman was robbed of a wallet right from her grocery cart. Items stolen included her driver's license and her debit and credit cards.
5/6/11 4:29 p.m. A Giant road bike was pilfered from a common storage area at a location on McVey Avenue. As it turned out, all of the bikes were missing from the rack, and an officer said it was possible that the complex manager might have removed them all.
5/9/11 5:40 a.m. A jacket, books, and CDs were swiped from a Jeep parked on Bickner Street.
5/9/11 10:01 a.m. A female returned to her unlocked Honda Odyssey on Spruce Street to find that jewelry, perfume and money had been stolen.
5/9/11 11:27 a.m. A Subaru Outback on Laurel Street was ransacked and things were broken. However, there was a clue - a cigarette lighter was left behind.
5/2/11 8:53 a.m. An ex-husband's new wife is apparently preventing his old wife from communicating with him by controlling and screening his phone calls.
5/2/11 9:03 a.m. A public information officer from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office saw a suspicious person walking into the brush on Indian Springs Road.
5/2/11 11:12 a.m. Graffiti in a Mexican food restaurant has left the owner in a state of chagrin.
5/2/11 11:22 a.m. Somewhere between Palisades Market and her house a woman lost her lavender wallet. She is canceling her credit cards.
5/2/11 1:46 p.m. A drunken neighbor came over to a woman's house and began loudly complaining about where she places her garbage can.
5/2/11 4:44 p.m. A juvenile skateboarder fell off his board and his father had to rush him to a hospital.
5/2/11 11:16 p.m. A driver originally thought to be drunk was actually delivering newspapers.
5/3/11 1:02 a.m. A mysterious car returned to Maple Street and its driver started shining a flashlight into yards.
5/3/11 7:29 a.m. A light-fingered roommate is robbing items from a woman's apartment on Kerr Parkway.
5/3/11 12:47 p.m. An ex-boyfriend is sending threatening emails to his ex-girlfriend.
5/3/11 1:27 p.m. A shady drug deal is suspected to be taking place near Forest Hills Elementary every afternoon. A car is picking up the same man wearing a hoodie.
5/3/11 2:40 p.m. A tenant is showing an unhealthy fascination with a woman in an apartment complex.
5/3/11 3:49 p.m. Tire tracks and a damaged sign were found at Gage Industries on McEwan Road.
5/3/11 6:22 p.m. Poisoned plants are being tossed in a woman's yard by a neighbor.
5/3/11 8:18 p.m. A male on a motorcycle is constantly disturbing residents along Lakeview Boulevard by driving his vehicle at an extremely high speed.
5/3/11 9:38 p.m. A man's female guest is starting to cause problems.
5/4/11 10:39 a.m. A welfare check was sought for a neighbor who became so intoxicated that she was unable to stand.
5/4/11 12:48 a.m. Three teenagers were picked up for curfew violation when they were hanging out on North State Street.
5/4/11 2:15 a.m. A 43-year-old son went berserk and started breaking things.
5/4/11 12:57 p.m. A presumptuous neighbor threw away two trees on a porch because she felt the trees were dead. She may be hearing from a man's lawyer.
5/4/11 10:43 p.m. Saran Wrap was stretched across Greentree Road near Palisades Elementary School.
5/4/11 8:11 a.m. An erratic male was seen wandering down McVey Avenue and State Street. He was walking funny and making odd gestures at cars.
5/4/11 9:01 a.m. Mischief makers at Millennium Park Plaza vandalized a park bench.
5/5/11 11 a.m. A large number of Vodka bottles was found scattered across the campus of Provincial House on Holy Names Drive over the past several months.
5/5/11 1:07 p.m. Two teens were seen smoking marijuana in a vehicle on South Shore Boulevard.
5/5/11 5:50 p.m. An ex-fiance is moving out and a woman is concerned about him taking away items that he shouldn't.
5/5/11 7:05 p.m. A man walked into a wine shop and started making inappropriate remarks.
5/5/11 9:25 p.m. A woman fears her ex-fiance might beat her up if she tells police that he threatened her.
5/5/11 10:21 p.m. A 10-year-old girl was bitten by her own mini Schnauzer when she got between two dogs fighting over spilled Cheerios on Walking Woods Drive.
5/6/11 12:01 p.m. A tenant is not being cooperative about allowing access to some properties in Hood River. Police might be needed.
5/6/11 6:42 p.m. Exercising finders rights, a woman is claiming a bicycle she found on Pioneer Court.
5/7/11 2:37 a.m. Two young teens, 13 and 14 years old, admitted to ringing doorbells and running.
5/7/11 11:56 a.m. A soggy batch of mail was found on Knaus Road and returned to a neighbor. Extra patrols were requested for the area due to recent mail thefts.
5/7/11 2:45 p.m. A female dog jumped out of a car just after giving birth to a litter of puppies, and the owner is seeking to get her back in order to feed the hungry baby canines.
5/7/11 10:29 p.m. A 16-year-old girl is beating up her 11-year-old brother even though she is taking her medications for her bipolar condition.
5/9/11 10:29 a.m. Cassy the cat has escaped from her home on McVey Avenue. Finding her could be difficult since she has no collar tags or a chip.
5/9/11 10:52 a.m. Residents and a restoration company were having difficulties with traffic on Lakeview Boulevard.
5/9/11 11:34 a.m. Piotr Zenczak, 29, registered as a sex offender.
5/9/11 11:44 a.m. A neighbor on 19th Avenue is reportedly out of control.
5/9/11 4:40 p.m. A nutty pest of a neighbor keeps calling to report nonsense that is not happening. This may be because she does not like the young tenants and is harassing them by calling the police.
5/9/11 7:05 p.m. While out with her boyfriend on Meadows Road, a woman was pushed by another man.
5/9/11 7:08 p.m. Two men were standing on Boones Ferry Road and flipping off cars as they drove by. They were waiting for a bus.
5/9/11 9:10 p.m. A drunken man and his friend showed up at Tanglewood 1 and asked that 9-1-1 be called. It was.
5/9/11 11:26 p.m. Two desperately drunken people were walking down the middle of State Street, stopping only to vomit.
5/10/11 1:34 a.m. A man and a woman were trespassed from a location on Waluga Drive.
5/2/11 3:25 p.m. A man's email and Facebook accounts were broken into and requests for money were made to everyone listed in the address books.
5/5/11 8:57 a.m. After a woman lost her day planner, she discovered that someone had tried obtaining a prescription by using her personal information.
5/6/11 12:32 p.m. A credit card was issued to someone else in a woman's name.
5/9/11 12:52 p.m. A credit card was created by using a woman's personal information. The card was used via the Internet at Wolf Camera in California.
5/9/11 2:37 p.m. The fraudulent use of a credit card at Walmart was used to steal $283.
