Marcus Kienlen tied for individual lead

The Scappoose Indians emerged from the first round of district golf play on Monday in first place.

After the first round, Scappoose led Seaside by three strokes, and was 22 ahead of Tillamook and Banks.

The first round was played a the Astoria Country Club. The second and final round was held on Tuesday at the Quail Valley Golf Course.

Scappoose's Marcus Kienlen was tied for first individually with Mike Ferber of Astoria at 79 strokes. Kyle Wilson of Scappoose was tied for fourth at 81.

Team scores: Scappoose 334; Seaside 337; Tillamook 356; Banks 356.
