Central Catholic makes 6A baseball final, wins 4-1 at Roseburg

It'll be Central Catholic versus Westview for the Class 6A baseball championship.
The Rams advanced on Wednesday, scoring three runs in the top of the seventh inning to win 4-1 in a two-day affair at Roseburg.
Westview will be coming off its 18-0 semifinals victory Tuesday over visiting Jesuit.
The 6A title game is set for 5 p.m. Saturday at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer.
Central Catholic (25-6) trailed Roseburg 1-0 when their game was postponed by rain after four innings Tuesday night at Legion Field.
The teams resumed play at 11 a.m., and the Rams evened the score on Codi Scanlon's RBI double in the fifth inning.
Then came an 85-minute rain delay.
Central Catholic took the lead when Scanlon hit a two-run double in the seventh. Paul Bluhm followed with an RBI single.
Jimmy Brakebush picked up the win, pitching all three innings Wednesday.
Central Catholic finished the game with seven hits, while Roseburg (20-6) had five hits. The Mount Hood Conference-champion Rams made one error, and the Indians made two errors.
Central Catholic began the Oregon School Activities Association playoffs with an 11-4 win over Lincoln and then beat North Salem 3-2 and Tualatin 4-2.
Westview (26-5) has won seven in a row, including playoff victories over Lakeridge 7-2, Sheldon 3-0, Lake Oswego 4-0 and Jesuit.
