• The Multnomah County Citizen Involvement Committee seeks nominations for the Gladys McCoy Citizen Involvement Award. The award is presented in recognition of outstanding lifetime volunteer service toward improving the countywide community in a manner exemplifying the life of Gladys McCoy, former chairwoman of the Multnomah County Board of Commissioners. Nominees should be citizen activist/volunteers who have made a substantial, positive change or contribution, with emphasis on civil rights, human rights, affirmative action, community, neighborhood, local political party, local government, environmental issues and/or education. • Oregon Food Bank's Learning Garden seeks volunteers to lead gardening workshops through its Seed to Supper program. Seed to Supper volunteers should be comfortable speaking in front of a group and with the ability to answer questions from participants. Oregon Food Bank will provide a workshop outline, slides and handouts for each topic. Volunteers are expected to cover all information provided.
