Portland Rose Festival Princesses pay a visit to Lake Oswego-Kruse Way Rotary Club

Lake Oswego-Kruse Way Rotary Club welcomed the Rose Festival Princesses to its meeting Tuesday.

The group meets at the Homebuilders Association of Metropolitan Portland office at 15555 S.W. Bangy Road.

'This was the first time our club hosted this event,' said club member Alan Glickman. 'All 14 (princesses) attended and were introduced. Each explained the values of what it is like to be a princess.'

The princesses, who serve as goodwill ambassadors for the Rose Festival took a part in reviewing the history of the festival. They then danced for club members.

Bob Strader, past president of the club, emceed the event. Strader is the current prime minister of the Royal Rosarians.

'The princesses brought great excitement to a packed meeting of club members, their spouses, many children of members as well as many guests,' Glickman said. 'Rose Festival was kicked off in high spirit today in Lake Oswego.'
