OREGON CITY - The South completed a sweep of the Gatorade Class 6A all-star basketball series with a 105-95 win against the North on Saturday night at Clackamas Community College.

The South built a double-digit lead in the first half when Lake Oswego guard Ernie Spada scored eight points in little more than a minute, highlighting the spurt with a pair of 3-pointers from the top of the key.

The North put together a 19-7 run to start the second half, led by Aloha guard Clay Martin who connected on three straight shots during the rally. The North eventually took a one-point lead before the South called timeout with 16:12 to play.

The teams traded leads six times before Oregon City's Jared Cunningham drained a series of 3-pointers to put the South in front to stay at 78-71.

The North made a final charge when Canby's Jonny Brainard took aim over two defenders to hit a long ball that cut the gap to 93-91 with 3:36 remaining. But the South scored the next eight points, putting the game out of reach when Sheldon's Blake Poole sent a pass the length of the court for Cunningham, who had beat the defense downcourt for a layin.

Cunningham hit 10 of 16 (.625) shots and finished with a game-high 28 points. He was named outstanding player for the South. Spada added 19 points, while Poole went 8-for-8 at the free-throw line and finished with 16 points.

Aloha guard Clay Martin led the North with 18 points and was named the team's Most Outstanding Player.

The South won Friday's opening game 102-93 in Eugene, led by Cunningham with 28 points and Spada with 16.
