Molieres The Miser opens at George Rogers

Masque Alfresco's Summer Park Tours of Commedia dell'arte will present Moliere's 'The Miser' beginning July 22 at George Rogers Park.The performances are free.
Lake Oswego resident Steve Rathje will make his professional theater debut as Cleante, the Miser's hot-headed son. 'The Miser' impales all that is mean, selfish and penny pinching into a single comedic character. Though the audience never learns the reasons for the Miser's extreme behavior, it will be thrust into the midst of a totally dysfunctional household in which everyone has a scam going.
The performances begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 22, 23, 24, and July 29, 30 and 31. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnics.
