Airstream Adventures Northwest is partnering with Oregon City-based Children’s Center and Portland’s New Avenues for Youth to help end child abuse and homelessness.

During Cycle Oregon this September, Team Airstream is asking for pledges for every mile the riders travel. Money raised by Team Airstream, which consists of 15 riders, will go directly to the two benefiting organizations.

Cycle Oregon consists of more than 2,000 riders who cycle up to 505 miles between Sept. 7 and 14. This year’s event will take place throughout Eastern Oregon, including John Day, Burns, Diamond, Crane and Seneca.

“Team Airstream was formed to combine our passion for cycling with the passion to protect our children in our community,” said team leader Ted Davis, founder and co-owner of Airstream Adventures Northwest. “We have joined with Children’s Center to help put the pedal down on child abuse.”

Funds donated to Children’s Center will go toward assessment and support services for children who are suspected victims of abuse or neglect.
