Grant supports Gladstone High School robotics team
A $1,200 grant from the Walmart store on Southeast McLoughlin Boulevard will help send Gladstone High School's robotics team to a regional competition this winter.
The team, which took second in a girls tournament in fall, provides a fun way for students to learn fabrication, electronics and computer programming while building skills in planning, teamwork, marketing and leadership.
"The experience students get in robotics competitions leads many of them to pursue science and engineering fields in college," said mentor Steve Stewart. "We are grateful for Walmart's support as we approach build season."
