by: SUBMITTED - Alicia MarshallAlicia (Smith) Marshall, a 1990 graduate of Milwaukie High School, will be inducted into the Western Oregon University Sports Hall of Fame during an induction banquet and ceremony on Friday, Oct. 25.

It will be the third time Marshall has received hall of fame honors. She is in the Milwaukie High School Hall of Fame for her accomplishments on dance team; she was honored last year by Clackamas Community College for her accomplishments in track and field; and she will be honored by Western Oregon for her accomplishments in track and field at that institution.

Marshall was high-point performer at CCC and she led her team to its first ever district championship.

At Western Oregon, she is the school record holder in the women’s long jump, triple jump, 4x100-meter relay and medley relay for outdoor track and field; and in the long jump and triple jump for indoor track and field. She recorded the school’s second-best all-time mark in outdoor track and field for the women’s 200, and the third-best all-time mark for the 100.

Marshall earned small college All-American honors three times at Western Oregon and was high-point performer in both conference and district championships, where she competed in six events, winning five and finishing runner-up in the sixth, as she helped the Wolves win the women’s team championship.

Marshall’s bests, while competing for Western Oregon, were: 19-5 in the long jump, 38-10 in the triple jump, 12.2 in the 100 meters, 25.0 in the 200 meters and 47.3 in the 4x100 relay.

Alicia lives in Happy Valley with her husband Tim and their two teenage daughters. She is a patient relations representative for the Women’s Health Center of Oregon, working out of their Oregon City Office.

Tim, a former head track coach at Gladstone High School, is currently coaching distance runners at Clackamas High School.
