CONTRIBUTED PHOTO - An anniversary event for Milo McIver State Park, initially scheduled for Saturday, June 9, has been rescheduled because of weather. A celebration for Milo McIver State Park's 50th anniversary set for this weekend will be rescheduled because of forecasted inclement weather.

The event was initially scheduled for Saturday, June 9, but the National Weather Service predicts an 80 percent chance of showers for the area with high temperatures in the upper 50s. A new date has not yet been determined.

The event at the large park just west of Estacada on the Clackamas River will feature Oregon Parks and Recreation Department Deputy Director MG Devereux and Milo McIver's grandson Malcolm McIver as guest speakers, as well as live music from Bend-based classical pianist Hunter Noack.
