Community trade fair is a success, connects Estacada businesses and new customers

Community trade fair a complete success

I would like to thank the Estacada News for the great coverage it gave to The Estacada Chamber of Commerce's Shop Local Community Trade Fair in September.

I would also like to thank Reliance Connects for sponsoring the event, Mossy Rock Ramblers for great music and Harvest Market for providing the location.

The event was very successful.

Almost all participating businesses reported they either sold goods and services or found new customers.

As examples, Paul Strobel from State Farm Insurance was asked to bid insurance policies, Oregon Massage & Lymphedema Clinic and Abundant Life Wellness made appointments with new customers, Peggy Price who owns Magnolia Designs sold numerous hostess aprons and other products, Fearless Brewing Company met and sampled beer to new area residents who have since become new Fearless customers and Whitney Signs took orders for signs.

And I bought a new washing machine from new chamber member, Gassman Appliances.

One of the keys to a healthy community is a strong business sector. The Chamber exists to promote our business members and encourage the community to keep their dollars local.

The Shop Local Community Trade Fair is a great way to let folks know the many resources we have available. We literally have what you need. Check out our website,, for more information on goods and services available to the Estacada community, and make a commitment to shopping locally.

Again, thank you for your support.
