Jacob Eugene Lees lodged in Washington County Jail

Forest Grove Police arrested 18-year-old Jacob Eugene Lees of Cornelius Saturday and charged him with Robbery in the Second Degree.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 3600 block of Pacific Avenue at 4:23 p.m. Feb. 16, according to Capt. Mike Herb of the Forest Grove Police Department.

"The victim reported that two subjects came up to him from behind and that one subject stuck an object he claimed to be a gun into his back," Herb said.

The suspect forced the victim to give him his wallet and phone, then fled the area. The victim reported to police that the subject "looked like someone he had seen at school and was able to pick his picture out by looking at a Facebook page," said Herb.

A short time later, two male suspects matching a description given by the victim — along with a third subject — were located by a Cornelius police officer. One of the suspects still had the victim's property, noted Herb.

Officers from Forest Grove responded and subsequently arrested Lees. He was lodged in the Washington County Jail and arraigned on the charges Monday.
