City’s talking transit

There’s still time to take the short but important survey on Forest Grove’s upcoming local transit service.

So far, 200 local residents have responded — on track with expectations, according to Lydia Corran, outreach specialist for Ride Connection, the nonprofit that is taking the lead on getting the transit service off the ground by September.

In addition to weighing in on questions such as what places should be included as stops along the route, survey-takers can suggest names for the service. Recent suggestions have included: Forest Go!, The Forest Tracker, Going in the Grove, FAB — short for Forest (Grove) Area Bus, and Home On Public Transit (HOPT).

Surveys are available online through Friday, July 19, in the “Latest News” section of the city’s home page at or at Paper surveys are available around town, including at City Hall, the Forest Grove Farmers Market, the library and various businesses.
