by: NEWS-TIMES PHOTO: CHASE ALLGOOD - Adelantes new office on Main Street is in a prime location -- close to the farmers market the organization puts on each summer and near a lot of foot traffic.Adelante Mujeres, the Forest Grove nonprofit that helps Latinas improve their lives, has moved its administrative office to a 2,220-square-foot space on Main Street, replacing their 800-square-foot space on 19th Avenue and the offices they occupied at St. Bedes Episcopal Church.

“We were in desperate need for more space,” said Gini Petersen, director of development for Adelante Mujeres, adding that they were so cramped they delayed hiring for a new position until they could find a bigger office. “We’ve been growing for quite some time.”

The new Main Street location will be close to the farmers market and will increase visibility, Petersen said, and they’ll likely celebrate the move with an open house soon.

“We’re right in the heart of Forest Grove, and we like the geographical symbolism of that.
