Extra patrols by Washington County Sheriff's Office on holiday weekend lead to 24 arrests, more than 80 arrested in May

Washington County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested 24 people for driving under the influence of intoxicants over the Memorial Day weekend. Deputies arrested 82 people for DUII during May.

WCSO worked in partnership with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to provide extra patrols over the holiday weekend.

In addition to extra patrols, depities kept an eye out for drivers who were speeding and following too closely, and for distracted drivers using mobile communication devices.
